What Pro adds
Widgets on Pages Pro is the paid edition of Widgets on Pages. It adds a visual editor wizard for placing widget areas in content with clicks instead of manually entering a shortcode.
The plugin uses dynamic sidebars, also called Turbo Sidebars, as widget containers. You can call each sidebar independently, reuse it across posts and pages, and place more than one on a single page.
Create and place Turbo Sidebars
Create a Turbo Sidebar in the plugin settings, then add widgets as you would to a regular sidebar. To place one with a shortcode, use [widgets_on_pages id=x], where x is the sidebar name. In Pro, the visual editor’s Add Turbo Sidebar button provides a click-based option. Theme template tags are also available for placing sidebars in theme locations such as the header or footer.
Choose a layout and insertion position
Responsive horizontal, column, and grid layouts arrange widgets in different presentations. Pro can also insert widget areas automatically in posts and pages, before or after the content, or in an available header, content, or footer position.
Automatic insertion can be disabled for individual posts and pages. This lets you keep a general placement rule while excluding selected content.
