Loading Page with Loading Screen Premium: Image-Based Progress
Image-loading progress for WordPress pages
Loading Page with Loading Screen Premium preloads page images and displays a progress screen with a percentage. The percentage tracks image loading on the page. The screen disappears when loading completes, with an option to keep it visible for additional seconds.
Choose where and how the screen appears
Show the screen on the homepage, across all pages, or on selected pages and posts by ID. You can exclude selected pages or posts, choose desktop, mobile, or both, and set the screen to appear once per session.
Choose a bar, logo, or text screen, along with additional screen styles in Premium. Adjust the progress graphics and text color, background color, and background image. A background image can be tiled, centered, or displayed fullscreen. You can also show or hide the percentage.
Set content animation and image loading
Select an animation for revealing page content after loading finishes. Premium lazy loading delays images outside the visitor’s current viewing area until they are needed. This can reduce image downloads and bandwidth use when visitors do not scroll to those images.
You can set an image placeholder to appear in place of the original images during delayed loading. The plugin recommends choosing a lightweight placeholder image.
Configure the plugin
Install and activate the plugin, then open Settings > Loading Page or use the settings link in the Plugins area. Enable the screen and choose its page or post scope, devices, and exclusions. Then select its style, colors, background, percentage display, and content animation. Configure lazy loading and the placeholder image in the available Premium settings.
