WP Hide Post Pro controls where posts, pages, media, custom post types, and WooCommerce products appear across a WordPress site. Location settings can hide an item from selected listings while leaving its direct URL available. Use single-view hiding, a 404 redirect, or Hide Everywhere when you need different behavior. These visibility settings do not provide role-based access control.
Choose where content appears
Visibility controls cover the homepage or blog page, category and tag archives, author and date archives, search results, RSS and XML feeds, widgets such as Recent Posts, navigation links, and the REST API. Options depend on the content type. For example, WooCommerce products can be hidden from the shop, product categories, product search, or WooCommerce REST API. Posts and pages can also be hidden from their individual views.
Media settings apply to images, PDFs, and other attachments. They can hide media from the homepage, archives, search results, feeds, or REST API. Hidden items remain marked in the administration lists for posts, pages, media, and products; Pro can remove that status column.
Pro tools for editing and redirects
- Quick Edit: Change visibility from an administration list without opening the full editor.
- Bulk Edit: Apply visibility changes to multiple posts, pages, media items, or products.
- 404 redirects: Redirect hidden content to a 404 page. Pro extends the option to all supported content types.
- Keep in search results: Hide content from selected site listings while allowing it to remain eligible for search engine indexing.
- Hide Everywhere: Remove an item from all site locations.
- Premium support and updates: Included with the Pro offering.
Set visibility
Install and activate the plugin, then open the post, page, media item, custom post type, or WooCommerce product you want to manage. In its Post Visibility controls, select the locations to hide it from and update the item. You can combine locations, such as the homepage and search results.
For individual changes from an administration list, use Pro Quick Edit. For several items, use Bulk Edit. After saving, review the relevant listings and the direct-link behavior: standard location hiding can leave the URL accessible, while single-view hiding, redirects, and Hide Everywhere change how the item appears.
